Game Reschedule Request Procedure

(This process is for regularly scheduled games and DOES NOT apply to rain-out games)

 

Due to the high volume reschedule requests and the time and costs involved, this process has been created and a form is required to arrange a game reschedule.

 

1.       Coaches must communicate with each other through the express interest in rescheduling a game and discuss alternate dates and times that are mutually agreed upon. The opponent does not have to agree to reschedule and may refuse the change at any time up until approval has been granted.

2.       Coaches must communicate with the referee assignor, confirm referee availability, and satisfy referee assignor requirements, if applicable.

3.       Complete and submit the Online Form (link below). Requests must be submitted a minimum of TEN (10) days prior (Wednesday) to the originally scheduled weekend event. In the case of a weeknight game, 10 days prior to that date. Teams must provide 2 different date and time options to reschedule. Failure to provide alternate options could result in our inability to reschedule.

THIS FORM IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT A REQUEST TO RESCHEDULE A MATCH. BOTH COACHES MUST AGREE TO THE RESCHEDULE BEFORE REQUESTING. ALL EFFORTS WILL BE MADE TO RESCHEDULE A MATCH TO THE REQUESTED DATE, TIME AND LOCATION, BUT SUBMISSION OF THE REQUEST FORM IS NOT A GUARANTEE THAT THE RESCHEDULE WILL BE PROCESSED. THE OFFICIAL SCHEDULE IS POSTED ON THE SJIYSA WEBSITE AND IS IN GOTSPORT. THE RESCHEDULE REQUEST IS NOT OFFICIAL UNTIL REFLECTED ONLINE IN GOTSPORT.
